Dr. Bri is a leading expert in pelvic health with over 500,000 YouTube subscribers, deeply loved online programs, and a reputation for making pelvic wellness not only approachable—but actually enjoyable. With a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Pacific University and her own postpartum recovery journey, Dr. Bri brings both clinical expertise and deep empathy to the conversation.

Why This Conversation Matters

New moms are often told what to expect during pregnancy—but the postpartum period, especially around pelvic health and intimacy, tends to be much murkier. Dr. Bri is passionate about changing that narrative. After her own experience of being dismissed by care providers, she had to advocate for herself and create the support she needed.

At Ceres Chill, we believe motherhood doesn’t stop at feeding your baby—it includes prioritizing your physical and mental well-being, too. Whether you’re navigating breastmilk storage, pelvic floor recovery, or rediscovering intimacy, we’re here for all of it.

What Is the Pelvic Floor, Really?

The pelvic floor is a group of muscles that act like a supportive hammock for your bladder, uterus, and rectum. During pregnancy and childbirth, those muscles are stretched, strained, and sometimes injured—regardless of delivery method.

Common postpartum symptoms include:

  • Leaking when you sneeze

  • Heaviness or pressure in your pelvis (a sign of prolapse)

  • Lower back pain

  • Painful sex

The good news? These are treatable. Pelvic floor physical therapy can restore strength, coordination, and comfort—and it’s never too late to start. Whether you’re weeks, months, or even years postpartum, healing is absolutely possible.

Let’s Talk About Intimacy After Baby

Sexual intimacy often shifts after childbirth, and that’s completely normal. Hormonal changes, fatigue, and identity shifts all impact libido and physical comfort.

Dr. Bri encourages us to view this as a chance to reconnect with our bodies in a new way. It's not about "getting back to normal"—it's about discovering what feels good now and honoring this version of yourself.

Tension or weakness in the pelvic floor muscles can affect sexual sensation, comfort, and orgasm. Therapy and intentional movement can help restore balance and support greater intimacy and body confidence. Partners can be powerful allies in this process by staying open, curious, and compassionate. Dr. Bri encourages communication and patience as both people navigate this transition together.

Healing the Whole Person: Mind and Body

Pelvic floor issues are often tied to emotional experiences—birth trauma, sexual trauma, or body disconnection. Dr. Bri explains that the pelvic floor can hold emotions like a bowl. Her holistic, trauma-informed approach blends breathwork, mindfulness, and movement to release what’s been held.

Not sure where to start? Dr. Bri recommends small, doable practices:

  • Breathing deeply into your belly

  • Gentle touch and vulvar self-awareness

  • Moving slowly and with intention

You are not broken, and you don’t have to walk this path alone.
