Why Ceres Chill's Customer Service Team Is the Secret Behind Every Happy Mama

When moms reach out to us, they're not just asking about a product - they're navigating one of the most vulnerable, exhausting, and beautiful seasons of their lives.

Ceres Chill's customer service team is made up entirely of real moms who have lived the pumping and breastfeeding journey firsthand, which is why our support goes far beyond troubleshooting. From answering late-night questions about breastmilk storage and chiller traveling, to walking a first-time mom through leaving her baby for the very first time, we are truly here for it all.

If you're in our Facebook group, you might recognize some of these ladies below - but if not, prepare to meet our wonderful customer support team!

Getting To Know Them

Q: How do you like to relax and recharge?

KATIE
Lying next to or in a body of water — beach, pool, hot tub, bath tub — is so relaxing to me. Accompanied by a snack and drink always makes it even better!

HEATHER
Go outside with my family or hang out with friends!

YAYA
Listening to my favorite audiobook while playing Animal Crossing or working on my planner.

BAILEY
Sipping coffee, snuggled with a blanket, and reading my Kindle!

YANINA
Anything in the kitchen or outside is my favorite place to just be.

RACHEL
A long walk outside...kid free!

Q: What's your go-to snack or beverage?

KATIE
Chips and queso and Coke or coffee!

HEATHER
Drink: Water + fruit or Diet Coke. Snack: Lesser Evil Himalayan popcorn, fresh berries...or lately Grillo's pickles, AKA pregnancy cravings!

YAYA
Not really a snack, but dessert...ice cream or cream-filled pastries.

BAILEY
Peanut butter pretzels and Dr Pepper.

YANINA
Something crunchy with a cold Coca-Cola with lemon.

RACHEL
Chips and queso with a sweet tea or a Coke, but not Pepsi or anything diet!

Q: What's your go-to productivity hack as a working mom?

KATIE
Work where your kids are when possible. If kids are happy eating in the kitchen, that's when you do the dishes. If they're happy playing in their room, that's when you put away their clothes. Try to relax or do phone/computer work when they're asleep.

HEATHER
Build a space outside for your kids with places they can dig, create, explore, and play freely without any real rules. Then you can relax while the kids entertain themselves — or work while they play!

YAYA
Planner! I cannot function without making my lists.

BAILEY
My favorite hack is to take grandparents with you on vacation! And use your Chiller for middle-of-the-night pumps so you don't have to go all the way to the kitchen!

YANINA
Always have snacks and a filled Chiller.

RACHEL
For young kids and working moms, get them dressed the night before so they're ready to go the next morning. For older kiddos, a trampoline in the backyard is a lifesaver for everyone, and a sensory-seeking kiddo's dream.

Q: What's the best part of your job at Ceres Chill?

KATIE
So many good parts - it's hard to choose just one. But I'd say the best part is the people I work for and with. It's really what sets this job apart from others. They're all moms who work their butts off and genuinely care about me and the customers.

HEATHER
I love the people we get to work with! It's so neat working with people from so many different backgrounds and doing it all while getting to know each other virtually. The flexibility is a great perk too.

YAYA
For me, there are two. I really like interacting with other moms - especially when I'm able to help them through something I personally struggled with. That makes it all the more worthwhile. The second is that I get to stay home with my boys while working. That is such a blessing.

BAILEY
I absolutely love being able to support moms on their breastfeeding journeys. It's an honor when moms trust us with their questions and their precious milk. I love coming alongside them through everything motherhood!

YANINA
The best part of my work is the connection and the way it weaves me into so many different moments, teams, and stories all at once. Through Spanish, through culture, through shared experiences, I'm able to connect with moms across so many platforms. One moment, I'm answering a message from a mom who needs reassurance in real time. The next, I'm on the phone - really listening - to someone navigating her own feeding journey. Then I might be in our Ceres Chill Español or Facebook communities, offering guidance, sharing evidence-based insight, or simply being present in the comments when it matters most.

RACHEL
My favorite part is when a mom calls and needs to walk through leaving her baby for the first time. It's truly incredible to be able to support moms through one of the hardest things they will ever do. If you're reading this and need help leaving your baby for the first time, please call us - I would love to meet you!

Q: What's your favorite Ceres Chiller color?

KATIE
Favorite legacy color is Ombré - and for the OG+, Vitamin D!

HEATHER
Dusty Lilac, and I also really loved the OG white Chiller!

YAYA
The old Sky's The Limit Blue. That's my all-time favorite.

BAILEY
Dusty Lilac!

YANINA
All of them! I want to own every Ceres Chill color. Zen, Ombré, America's Sweetheart, and La Vie en Rose Gold.

Check out the OG+ colors here.

Mama Wisdom

Q: If you could give one piece of advice to a first-time pumping or nursing mom, what would it be?

KATIE
After having my 3rd baby, I'm realizing that not every feeding journey looks the same or how you expect it. They each have their own challenges, but with each kid you learn not to sweat the challenges so much. Making sure your baby is fed really is the best. You can nurse some days, pump some days, combo feed, or supplement with formula. Just follow your baby's lead and remember - they're not robots and won't be the same every day.

HEATHER
Although mom friends and family can have the best intentions, they don't know your baby. You know your baby best - so drown out the noise and the made-up rules, and trust your own intuition. God made you the perfect mom for your baby. And if your gut tells you something is off, seek out an IBCLC who aligns with your values and supports you as the mom. Your mental health matters in your breastfeeding journey. Every single drop you produce is amazing, and you should be so proud.

YAYA
It may sound cliché, but ask for help. I have three kids and it was still such a hard thing for me to do even in my last postpartum journey. Be honest about your emotions, even if they're scary to speak out loud. Postpartum Depression is real and it can hit you when you least expect it. Don't wait to speak up - there is no shame in being vulnerable. My husband constantly reminded me of what flight attendants say: "Put your mask on first." You cannot help others when you're running on empty. And enjoy every second - it truly goes by too fast.

BAILEY
Give yourself so much grace! The first few weeks are so hard...keep pushing! Hold loosely to your plans for feeding and listen to your body and your baby's needs. Lean on community: house chores, meals, coffee, walking buddies, someone to hold the baby so you can nap. And there is nothing too overwhelming that a good walk or time outside can't help!

YANINA
Trust your instincts. Ask for support even when you think you don't need it. It never has to be all or nothing - supplementing is okay. You are enough.

RACHEL
Trust yourself! You know your baby better than anyone, and you are exactly the mom they need. The hard days won't last forever, and neither will the little moments you'll one day miss. And don't forget - you don't have to do it all alone. Asking for help doesn't make you less than. You're doing better than you think!

"Your mental health matters in your breastfeeding journey. Every single drop you produce is amazing, and you should be so proud of your journey."

Q: What's the most common or interesting question you've received at Ceres Chill?

KATIE
Most common is customers reaching out for replacement parts.

HEATHER
One of my favorite interactions was with a dad reaching out on behalf of his wife. He was an engineer and asked a few specific questions - then gave some really kind remarks about how impressed he was with the engineering and design of the product. That one stuck with me!

YAYA
Recently it's been how they can get the new freezable inner chamber!

BAILEY
"My ice is melting!!!" Lots of moms (and dads!) write in with concerns about keeping their milk cold and how the science actually works. We normally dig deeper to find where the issue may be. Here's a fun fact: it's completely normal for your ice to melt as it transfers its chilling power to your milk. That's exactly what it's supposed to do!

YANINA
"What if I lose my lid?" Remember, the parts work with most narrow-neck accessories. You probably have a Medela lid sitting around that'll do the trick!

RACHEL
One of the most interesting questions I get is whether it's safe to pool milk - combining warm and cold milk. There's so much fear around it, and I love every mom's thought behind it. Here are the facts: the only study done on this with breastmilk specifically shows that pooling milk at different temperatures does not increase bacteria at all - and actually provides more consistent caloric intake for your baby. Of course, if you're still not comfortable, you can always buy two for a discount!

It's completely normal for the ice in your Ceres Chill to melt — that's how it works! The ice transfers its chilling energy directly to your breast milk, keeping it safely cold. If you have concerns about your Chiller's performance, the Ceres Chill support team is available to walk you through troubleshooting step by step.

Combining warm and cold breastmilk (known as "pooling") is a common concern. Research shows that pooling breast milk at different temperatures does not increase bacterial growth and can actually provide a more consistent caloric intake for your baby. When in doubt, ask your pediatrician or reach out to the Ceres Chill team!
